Vincent Ritzberger

He learned camera from Walter Kindler.

Kindler has shot more than sixty features and television productions, won the Romy for best cinematography twice, and held a professorship at the Vienna Film Academy. That is where Vincent Ritzberger learned camera, editing and sound. On The Last Days of Mankind he was first assistant camera, from preparation through to delivery.

Alongside that: production assistance, shoot and workflow organisation, coordinating international productions, preparing material for funding applications. You can put him anywhere — which in a production office is worth more than any specialism.

His own territory is Japan. He has read manga and watched anime for years and knows the narrative traditions behind them — structure, pace, the way a character is introduced. In a company working towards Korea that is not a duplication but a second angle on the same question: how East Asia tells a story, and why it lands here.

Rugby, on the national team. That tells you what you need to know about someone who works in a crew.
